BlackBerry Storm, the first BlackBerry touchscreen smartphone, will soon be released by Verizon Wireless. It is said that the new Storm’s features is greater than the Apple’s iPhone.

The full-touch device’s display size and resolution are not yet known, but Verizon states that it is “one of the largest, highest resolution screens in the wireless industry.” So, it might have a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, like Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X1 and HTC’s new Touch HD.

BlackBerry Storm will also feature an on-screen virtual QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2 Megapixel camera, advanced Web browsing and email capabilities (visual voicemail included) and VZ Navigator (built-in GPS). According to leaked info, the Storm would be shipped with an 8GB memory card in the package.

The touchscreen smartphone will be exclusively sold via Verizon. The release date was not yet announced, but Verizon says this will happen “very soon.”
