Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 will first be available only in the UK, Germany and Sweden. Shortly after, it will spread all over the world, in the following regions:
– Europe: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland;
– Asia: Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam;
– Latin America: Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay;
Coming in a classy arc-slider design, Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 will brings a 3-inch display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, a full QWERTY keyboard, the Xperia panels, Windows Mobile 6.1, a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7200 processor, 256MB of RAM, internal GPS, Google Maps, Wi-Fi, a 3.2 camera with touch focus and flash, Music and Video players, a 3.5mm headset jack, document viewer and editor, push email, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, 400 MB of internal memory (expandable via microSD cards), quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA connectivity.
Sony Ericsson hasn’t announced yet the retail price of Xperia X1, but rumors say it will be somewhere between 700 and 800 USD (500 – 560 Euros). (more…)

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 was announced at the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona. There were some rumors saying that it will not be released this year, then a Sony Ericsson official promised that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 will actually be available in the second half of 2008.
No one know when exactly will Xperia X1 be officially launched, but some mobile phone retailers are already offering it, on pre-order: MobileCityOnline - $999 Smart Mobile Gadgets - $979

Of course, pre-ordering Xperia X1 right now only means you’ll get it when available, which can even be somewhere towards the end of the year. Nevertheless, the device’s availability on pre-order is a good sign that should make all those who are waiting it hope for an approaching release.
Sony Ericsson recently annouced XPERIA X1 at the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona. It runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional OS, and features a 3 inches 65K colors TFT touchscreen with a 800 x 480 pixels resolution, a 3.2 megapixel camera with a photo light and video recording, a Full QWERTY keyboard, 400 MB internal memory, a microSD card slot, USB 2.0, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, HSDPA/HSUPA. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 measures 110 x 53 x 16.7 mm, and weighs 145 g.
