Samsung SCH-i770 Windows Mobile smartphone has appeared on the FCC.
The SCH-i770 features a touchscreen display, a full QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, both dual-band CDMA (800/1900MHz) support and at least dual-band GSM (850/1900MHz) support, WiFi and EV-DO support, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP stereo.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) has unveiled two new WinMo devices: iPAQ Data Messenger and iPAQ Voice Messenger.
HP iPAQ Data Messenger features a 2.81-inch transmissive TFT touchscreen display with 320 x 240 pixel, 65K colors and LED backlight, a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Pro version of Windows Mobile 6.1 and so on.
HP iPAQ Data Messenger costs 399 pounds (SIM-free), and should be available starting mid-November.

HP iPAQ Voice Messenger features a 2.4-inch TFT 64K 320 x 240 pixel non-touch screen display with LED backlight, a 20-key keyboard (two letters per key), Standard edition of Windows Mobile 6.1, WLAN 802.11b/g with WPA2 security, Bluetooth 2 with EDR, 3G, tri-band UTMS, HSDPA and HSUPA, quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, GPS and A-GPS, microUSB connector, a 3.1MP camera with autofocus and 5x digital zoom and flash, QVGA 1600 x 1200 UXGA resolution, and 2048 x 1536 QXGA resolution, 128MB of SDRAM and 256MB ROM and the microSD card slot that supports up to 8GB.
HP iPAQ Voice Messenger costs 333 pounds (SIM-free), and should be available starting mid-November.

Sprint’s Samsung SPH-i325 (Samsung Ace) originally comes with Windows Mobile 6.0 OS installed on it.
Sprint announced recently the availability of a firmware update available for the Samsung SPH-i325 that will upgrade the device to Windows 6.1 Standard Edition.
This firmware update will also improve threaded text messaging, enhanced GPS support via Sprint Navigation and web browsing.
This update can be downloaded from Samsung’s website.

Motorola Q11 is apparently the successor of the Q9 which is one of the world’s best known Windows Mobile smartphones.
Although no official information about the Q11 has been released yet, the new smartphone has appeared in a long video demonstration, via the Brazilian site Zumo.

HTC, the Taiwan-based manufacturer of Windows Mobile handsets, has just released a short video of the new Touch HD.
HTC Touch HD’s features include: quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz), dual-band HSDPA connectivity (900 / 2100 MHz), a 3.8-inch TFT touchscreen display with a WVGA resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, TouchFLO 3D User Interface, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, Wi-Fi, GPS navigation, a 5 Megapixel autofocus camera, accelerometer, a 3.5mm headset jack, YouTube dedicated player, Pocket Office and extendable memory. The touchscreen smartphone measures 115 x 63 x 12 millimeters.
The Pocket PC should be available before the end of 2008. The retail price was not unveiled.

Unveiled several weeks ago, Palm Treo Pro, the new Windows Mobile-based smartphone, has been released in the United States.
This Treo Pro is available unlocked in Palm’s online store, for $550.
In Europe, Palm Treo Pro is being offered through Vodafone, who has not yet released the smartphone.

IAC S875, the very first “Java-enabled multi-standard mobile TV phone“, has been announced by Axel Technologies which is a Finnish company that develops mobile TV-related software and technologies.
The IAC S875 is created by Axel Technologies in collaboration with Inventec (a Taiwanese manufacturer) and RollTech Technology (a Taiwanese Java solution provider ).
Runing on Windows Mobile, the Mobile TV phone brings the following features: Axel’s Mobile TV Middleware and UI, 3G/HSDPA connectivity, RollTech’s Java Virtual Machine, DVB-H IPDC and OMA BCAST standards.

Sony Ericsson has just officially announced the release date for the Xperia X1 Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone. It’s on September 30.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 will first be available only in the UK, Germany and Sweden. Shortly after, it will spread all over the world, in the following regions:
– Europe: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland;
