Sony Ericsson W980 walkman phone was released in the first quarter of this year. The walkman mobile W980 brings an “improvement”: it will come with Mylene Farmer’s latest album. The entire album “Stitches” will be included on a limited edition, counting only 2,000 copies.

Sony Ericsson W980 has been recently awarded by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) as the “European music phone”.
The W980 clamshell has been available on the European market since July. It seems to be the best Walkman phone ever released by Sony Ericsson.
The Walkman phone packs 8GB of internal memory, which allows users to store all their favorite music. And it features high-end sound quality, Walkman Player with shake control, TrackID, FM radio with RDS, FM transmitter, dedicated external music controls, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, NetFront browser, IM, email and a 3 Megapixel camera.

Sony Ericsson W980 was recently approved by the FCC, hence this Walkman phone will soon be available in the US.
Unveiled back in February, the W980 features well-known Walkman Player, stereo speakers, external music keys, shake control, TrackID, FM radio with RDS, FM Transmitter and no less than 8GB of internal memory.
Other features of the clamshell handset include: a 2.2 inch internal display with 240 x 320 pixels and 256K colors, an external display with 176 x 176 pixels, UMTS/ HSDPA connectivity, a 3.15 Megapixels camera, NetFront browser, email, Instant Messaging, RSS reader, voice memo, organizer, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, USB 2.0 and a battery capable of providing up to 20 hours of music playback with a single charge.
For the moment, the retail price of Sony Ericsson W980 is not known.

Sony Ericsson W980 Walkman phone was first announced in February, during MWC 2008. The SE released a teaser video recently.
Coming in a clamshell form factor, the W980 packs a 2.2 inch internal TFT display with 256K colors, an external one with 256K colors and 176 x 176 pixels, quad-band GSM connectivity plus 3G / HSDPA 2100 for high data transfer speeds, a 3.15 Megapixel camera, 8GB of built-in memory, stereo speakers with high-quality sound, music keys, Walkman player with Equalizer, TackID music recognition, shake control, FM radio with RDS and FM transmitter, email, Web capabilities, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and a 930 mAh battery that can offer about 20 hours of continuous music playback, up to 9 hours of talk-time and up to 370 hours of stand-by time.
The price and exact release date of W980 are not known for the moment.
