Samsung P960 TV phone will be available in Europe soon, and will be the world’s first TV phone to come in a slider form factor and to support DVB-H, according an announcement by Samsung.
Samsung P960 was first unveiled at the beginning of the year, during MWC 2008. The P960 works with both of the current European mobile TV standards: DVB-CBMS and OMA-BCAST.
Measuing only 16.7 millimeters in thickness, the P960 packs a 2.6 inch TFT display with 263K colors, 240 x 320 pixels and DNIe image enhancement, a 3.15 Megapixel camera with flash and video recording, tri-band GSM and HSDPA 2100 connectivity, microSD card support, Music player, FM radio with RDS, email, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, Bang & Olufsen ICEPower technology for a high-end audio experience, TV-out, Time-shifting, a feature that allows you to view the programs without interruptions, ESG (Electronic Service Guide) for on-screen program guides, PIP (Picture in Picture) for viewing two channels simultaneously, a 1200 mAh battery capable of offering up to 5 hours of TV-watching and so on.
The price and the exact markets that will get the new Samsung P960 were not unveiled yet.

Samsung V820L (SGH-V820L) was unveiled recently. The new V820L is a TV phone that comes in a clamshell form factor. It packs a 2.6 inch rotating TFT display with 240 x 300 pixels, other features include: 3G connectivity for fast data transfer speeds, 25MB of internal memory, microSD card slot, a 2.0 Megapixel camera, secondary video-call camera, Music player, a 5 hours talk-time / 250 hours stand-by time battery and so on.
Samsung V820L will be available in Brazil for the moment with a retail price of 1,499 BRL (Brazilian reals) (about $900 or 580 Euros).

Sharp recently unveiled a new TV phone, named Sharp FOMA SH705iII, it can offer a good mobile TV viewing experience with a built-in TV tuner and 2.8 inch 262,000 colors 400 x 240 pixels internal screen. Sharp FOMA SH705iII comes in a clamshell form, other features include: an external 96 x 39 pixels OLED screen, a 3.2 Megapixel camera, 3G international roaming capability, microSD card support, battery life of 175 minutes for talk time and 2 hours for TV viewing. It measures 106 x 48 x 16.1 mm and weighs 106 g.
Sharp FOMA SH705iII is only available in Japan via NTT DoCoMo for the moment.
