HTC Touch Viva Available Soon in Taiwan

HTC Touch Viva will soon be available in Taiwan, HTC’s home country, via Taiwan’s third largest mobile carrier Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET).

The Touch Viva is not a high-end Pocket PC, but it’s still a pretty nice device.

Coming with a similar design with the old HTC Touch, the Touch Viva brings the following features: a 2.8 inch TFT QVGA touchscreen display, TouchFLO User Interface, Windows Mobile 6.1. Wi-Fi, Media player, Pocket Office, a 2 Megapixel camera and so on.

HTC Touch Pro Pocket PC will soon be available in Taiwan, HTC’s home country, via Taiwan’s third largest mobile carrier Far EasTone.

Officially presented at the beginning of June, HTC Touch Pro is almost the same device as the HTC Touch Diamond, it brings the following features: a full QWERTY keyboard that slides out horizontally, a 2.8 inch TFT touchscreen with a VGA resolution (480 x 640 pixels), TouchFLO 3D User Interface, a 3.15 Megapixel camera with auto focus, Wi-Fi, internal GPS, TV out, expandable memory and so on.

HTC Touch HD Pocket PC Goes Official

HTC has gone official with its Touch HD Pocket PC, a multimedia phone that brings more features than the Touch Diamond.

Measuring 115 x 62.8 x 12 millimeters and weighing 146.5 grams, the Touch HD brings the following features: a 3.8 inch TFT touchscreen display with a Wide-VGA (WVGA) resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera, quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) with GPRS and EDGE, dual-band HSDPA connectivity (900 / 2100 MHz) for data transfer speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps, a 3.5mm audio jack, HTC TouchFLO 3D interface to cover Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.1, a 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM720 processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, 512 MB of Flash memory, 288 MB of RAM and a slot for microSD or microSDHC cards.

The Pocket PC brings a 1350 mAh battery which should be able to last up to 390 minutes in talk-time mode or up to 450 hours in stand-by.

HTC Touch Viva Pocket PC Unveiled

HTC Touch Viva, a new Pocket PC, has been officially unveiled. It come with a similar form factor that resembles the old HTC Touch.

As a poor cousin of HTC Touch 3G, the Touch Viva comes with a processor that runs at just 201 MHz, quad-band GSM connectivity only (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) and a 2 Megapixel camera. Aside from these features, the handset is not too different from the Touch 3G.

Samsung i900 Omnia will be available in Italy starting July 22. This comes shortly after Samsung announced the new handset would be available in Germany, starting August 6.

Samsung has decided to offer the high-end Pocket PC together with a free Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade gaming console to Italian mobile users .

Samsung Omnia will cost 499 Euros ($790) for the 8GB version in Italy.

Samsung i900 Omnia Pocket PC was recently officially announced, and the new high-end handset will be available in Germany starting August 6, via all the German mobile operators: Vodafone, T-Mobile, the KPN-owned E-Plus and Telefónica’s O2.

The 8GB version of i900 Omnia will have a retail price of 649 Euros (around $1,030). The Pocket PC’s price when bought with a contract agreement and a data plan has not been announced yet.

Samsung Omnia Pocket PC will soon be released via AT&T, according to Boy Genius Report.

Measuring 112 x 56.9 x 12.5 millimeters and weighing 127 grams, Samsung Omnia will bring a 3.2 TFT touchscreen display with 65K colors, 240 x 400 pixels and handwriting recognition, Windows Mobile 6.1 with a TouchWiz user interface, 128MB of RAM, 256MB of ROM and a Marvell PXA312 CPU at 624 MHz, accelerometer, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, image stabilizer, flash and video recording, quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA connectivity (for data transfer speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps), built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Music and Video players, TV out, full HTML browser, email, Instant Messaging, document viewer and so on.

Samsung Omnia will come in two versions: 8GB and 16GB, with microSD card support for up to another 16GB.

It’s rumored that the Omnia Pocket PC will be available in the third quarter of 2008.
