RIM’s BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 comes in three color versions so far (black, black with red and black with silver). The fourth color version, pink, will be available via Rogers, the largest mobile operator in Canada.

According to Mobile in Canada, the pink Pearl 8220 will cost only 49.99 Canadian dollars with a three-year contract agreement.

RIM’s new BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 smartphone is now on sale via TIM, Italy’s largest operator.

This appears on the TIM’s official website, offered for 269 Euros (about 370 USD).

Although the smartphone will be available in at least three color versions, TIM currently sells only the black one.

BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 brings the following features: worldwide GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) with GPRS and EDGE, a 2.6-inch TFT internal display with 240 x 320 pixels, a 1.6-inch external screen, a SureType QWERTY keyboard, BlackBerry Maps, Wi-Fi, full HTML browser, email and Instant Messaging, a 2 Megapixel camera with flash, Video and Music players, DataViz document reader and editor, a 3.5mm headset jack, microSD / microSDHC cards (up to 8GB) and a battery that should provide a talk-time of up to 240 minutes (4 hours) or a stand-by time of up to 336 hours (14 days).

BlackBerry Pearl Flip (BlackBerry KickStart), RIM’s first and only clamshell smartphone, just been officially presented, under the name of BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220.

BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220’s exact release date has not been announced, but RIM says the smartphone will be available in the US first, via T-Mobile, sometime “this fall.” Shortly after, the smartphone will be released in Canada via Rogers.

The 8220 brings the following features: a 240 x 320 pixel internal display, a light-sensing external screen, a 2 MP camera with flash and video recording, a huge SureType QWERTY keyboard, quad-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE but no 3G, Wi-Fi with UMA support, SIVR (Speaker Independent Voice Recognition) for Voice Activated Dialing (VAD), BlackBerry Internet Service, BlackBerry Unite!, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, BlackBerry Professional Software, full HTML browser, Music player with equalizer, DataViz Documents to Go, Video player, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, USB 2.0, microSD and microSDHC cards (up to 16 GB) and a 900 mAh battery is included, capable of lasting up to 4 hours in talk-time mode or up to 14 days in stand-by mode.

BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 weighs only 102 grams (3.6 ounces) and, when not open, it measures 99 x 48 x 17.8 millimeters (3.9 x 1.9 x 0.7 inches).
