IAC S875, the very first “Java-enabled multi-standard mobile TV phone“, has been announced by Axel Technologies which is a Finnish company that develops mobile TV-related software and technologies.

The IAC S875 is created by Axel Technologies in collaboration with Inventec (a Taiwanese manufacturer) and RollTech Technology (a Taiwanese Java solution provider ).

Runing on Windows Mobile, the Mobile TV phone brings the following features: Axel’s Mobile TV Middleware and UI, 3G/HSDPA connectivity, RollTech’s Java Virtual Machine, DVB-H IPDC and OMA BCAST standards.

The IAC S875 was showcased during the IBC 2008 fair from Amsterdam (September 12 – 16), but there are no live images with it. However, a full-touch device can be seen on Axel’s website, so this might be the new Mobile TV phone.

For the moment, there are no details on when (or if) the IAC S875 will be commercially available.

LG recently announced KB620 at the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona. The LG KB620 is a TV phone that has a high speed HSDPA connectivity up to 7.2 Mbps. It comes in a clamshell form, and comes packed with a 2.2 (maybe 2.4) inches display, DVB-H technology. The LG KB620 will be available during the first half of 2008, the retail price is unknown yet.

Samsung announced a new Mobile TV phone recently, named SCH-W350 (aka SPH-W3500). The Samsung SCH-W350 comes in a clamshell form, and works on GSM, WCDMA networks with HSDPA connectivity. Its screen can be swiveled in a horizontal position. It features a 2.22 inch 240 x 320 pixels TFT internal display, a 1.1 inch 96 x 96 pixels OLED external display, an external CMOS camera, an internal 3 Mexapixel camera, Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) and TV-out support, microSD / TransFlash card support, built-in media player, Video On Demand (VOD), Music On Demand (MOD).

Samsung SCH-W350 / SPH-W3500 will be available only in Korea for a retail price between $635 and $741.

Japanese giant electronics manufacturer Toshiba brings us a new Mobile TV phone – W61T.

The Toshiba W61T comes in a clamshell, and features a 2.8 inch AM-OLED screen with a 240 x 400 pixel resolution, a 3.2 Megapixel CMOS camera with Auto focus, a microSD card slot, LISMO Media Player, built-in GPS, FM radio.

The Toshiba W61T is available in 3 colors: white, dark blue and pink. It measures 98 x 50 x 18.9 mm, and weighs 118 g.
