Nokia E71, a new Eseries smartphone, will be soon available across Canada.
It seems that Fido will be the only operator to offer this smartphone.
Measuring 114 x 57 x 10 millimeters and weighing 127 grams, the E71 is one of the thinnest smartphones on the market as well as one of Nokia’s thinnest handsets.
Launched globally together with the E65 slider, the E71 brings the following features: quad-band GSM and dual-band HSDPA connectivity, a 2.36 inch TFT landscape display with 240 x 320 pixels and 16 million colors, a full QWERTY keyboard, Symbian S60 3rd Edition, a 3.15 Megapixel camera, Music and Video players, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and Nokia Maps, full HTML browser, push email, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, document viewer/editor, Push to talk, 110MB of internal memory and so on.

Nokia E71 smartphone is now officially released in the US. It can be bought unlocked, for a retail price of $500.
Measuring only 10 millimeters (0.39 inches) in thickness, the slim E71 brings the following features: Symbian 9.2 S60 3rd Edition, quad-band GSM and dual-band HSDPA connectivity (850 / 1900 MHz for the US version), a QVGA TFT display with 16 million colors, a full QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash and video recording, Wi-Fi, built-in GPS, Nokia Maps, full HTML browser, advanced email capabilities, Push to Talk, Music and Video players, FM radio, Office applications and so on.

Nokia E71 smartphone is already on sale, but only in Singapore for the moment. It costs about 720 Singapore dollars (around $530 or 335 Euros).
Nokia E71 was officially presented on the 16th of June. Nokia E71 is the next Eseries handset to be released by Nokia, and is said to be the successor of Nokia E61i. Some leaked images unveil that the E71 will packs a 3.2 Megapixel camera with with auto focus and flash, a full QWERTY keypad, a wide display, probably of about 2.8 inches.
Some specifications were leaked on a Vodafone roadmap several months ago. It was said that Nokia E71 (mentioned as “Nokia Liam“) will offer quad-band GSM connectivity as well as 3G / HSDPA, and will feature secondary camera for video calls, icroSD card support for up to 8GB, built-in GPS and Wi-Fi. Moreover, E71 seems to measure only 10 mm in thickness, hence being one of the slimmest smartphones out there.

Rumors on the Internet said that Nokia E71 will be available in the second quarter of 2008. There is even a mockup image of the phone, plus a picture that seems to be presenting the real handset. From leaked Vodafone Roadmap, we learn that Nokia E71 will offer quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE connectivity, plus 3G with HSDPA for data transfer speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps. It features a 320 x 320 pixels display, a 3.2 Megapixel camera, a full QWERTY keypad, Wi-Fi, built-in GPS, microSD card support. Other details are unknown yet.
