Samsung U900 Released by Telstra

Samsung U900 (under the name Samsung U900T) has recently been released in Australia via Telstra, the largest mobile operator in the country.

Coming in a slider form factor, the U900T brings the following features: HSDPA connectivity with high data transfer speeds up to 7.2 Mbps, a 2.2 inch TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels and 16 million colors, a touch-sensitive navigation pad, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash, image stabilizer and face detection, mobile TV capabilities, Music and Video players, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, HTML browser, email, 100MB of internal memory and microSD card support.

Samsung U900T is available for retail price of 879 Australian dollars (about 858 USD or 540 Euros).

Samsung i900 Omnia will be available in Italy starting July 22. This comes shortly after Samsung announced the new handset would be available in Germany, starting August 6.

Samsung has decided to offer the high-end Pocket PC together with a free Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade gaming console to Italian mobile users .

Samsung Omnia will cost 499 Euros ($790) for the 8GB version in Italy.

Measuring only 112 x 56.9 x 12.5 millimeters and weighing 127 grams, the high-end Pocket PC brings the following features: quad-band GSM connectivity, HSDPA for data transfer speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps, a 3.2 TFT touchscreen display with 240 x 400 pixels, an intuitive TouchWiz interface, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash, image stabilizer, face detection, WDR and video recording, Music and Video players, built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, full HTML browser, advanced email capabilities, Pocket Office and 8GB or 16GB of expandable memory.

Samsung i200 (or SGH-i200), one of the slimmest Windows Mobile smartphones, is now available in Asia and Europe.

Samsung i200 measures 116.7 x 50.8 x 11.8 millimeters and weighs 102 grams.

Samsung i740 touchscreen phone was recently unveiled on the Czech website iDNES.

Measuring 107 x 59 x 13.8 millimeters, Samsung i740 features a 2.8 inch TFT touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixels, a 3 Megapixel camera with flash, auto focus and video recording, built-in GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, Music and Video players, FM radio, mobile email, Web browser, USB 2.0, microSD card supports for up to 4GB, a 624 MHz processor, Windows Mobile 6.1 and so on.

Samsung i740 comes only with quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz), without 3G or Wi-Fi. Knowing this, the new handset might mainly for the markets where 3G is not yet widely embraced, like India, China or South America.

Samsung Omnia Pocket PC will soon be released via AT&T, according to Boy Genius Report.

Measuring 112 x 56.9 x 12.5 millimeters and weighing 127 grams, Samsung Omnia will bring a 3.2 TFT touchscreen display with 65K colors, 240 x 400 pixels and handwriting recognition, Windows Mobile 6.1 with a TouchWiz user interface, 128MB of RAM, 256MB of ROM and a Marvell PXA312 CPU at 624 MHz, accelerometer, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, image stabilizer, flash and video recording, quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA connectivity (for data transfer speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps), built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Music and Video players, TV out, full HTML browser, email, Instant Messaging, document viewer and so on.

Samsung Omnia will come in two versions: 8GB and 16GB, with microSD card support for up to another 16GB.

It’s rumored that the Omnia Pocket PC will be available in the third quarter of 2008.

Samsung TouchWiz F488 brings an homage to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, it also comes with Olympic logo and Olympic-related themes.

Measuring only 98 x 55 x 11.6 millimeters and weighing 100 grams, the new TouchWiz F488 packs a 2.8 inch touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixel, 262K colors and haptic feedback, a TouchWiz UI, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash, image stabilizer, face detection and video recording, GSM and HSDPA connectivity, 232MB of internal memory and microSD card support for up to 8GB, Media player, advanced Web and email capabilities, Google Maps, Bluetooth and so on.

Samsung TouchWiz F488 was already announced for Taiwan and Hong Kong. The price is not known yet.
