Nokia N78 Available in the US at $560

Nokia N78 hits the US market with a suggested retail price of $560.

This smartphone was announced by Nokia this year and is already available in Europe, India and other global markets.

Nokia N78 US version comes with quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) and dual-band HSDPA connectivity (850 / 1900 MHz).

Measuring 113 x 49 x 15 millimeters and weighing 101.8 grams, the N78 runs on Symbian S60 3.2 OS, and packs a 2.4 inch TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels and 16 million colors, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash, Carl Zeiss optics, geotagging and video recording, Music and Video players, a 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio and FM Transmitter, built-in GPS, A-GPS, Nokia Maps, Wi-Fi, full HTML browser, email and Instant Messaging, RSS reader, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Push to Talk and document viewer and so on.

Nokia N78 Available in India

Nokia N78 has been released in India. As a successor of the N77 model, the Nseries high-end handset was first unveiled at the beginning of February, during MWC 2008.

The N78 comes in a classic candybar form factor. It features a 2.4 inch TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels and 16 million colors, semi-flat keypad, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, auto focus, flash, geotagging and video recording, Symbian S60 3.2 OS, Music and Video players, FM radio, a 3.5mm headset jack, GPS, Nokia Maps, email, Web browser, Instant Messaging, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, document viewer, expandable memory and so on.

Nokia N78 costs 19,999 INR (470 USD or 300 Euros) in India.

Nokia N78 is available now in Finland and will probably soon be launched in other European countries.

Nokia N78 is available from Verkkokauppa, a Finnish online retailer, for the retail price of 448.90 Euros (around $700).

Nokia unveiled a white version of N78 recently. Nokia N78 was first announced at the beginning of the year, during MWC 2008.

Measuring 113 x 49 x 15.1 millimeters and weighing 101 grams, the N78 features quad-band GSM connectivity, dual-band 3G / HSDPA connectivity (for both Europe and the US), a 2.4 inch display with 240 x 320 pixels and 16 million colors, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, auto focus, flash and video, 70MB of built-in memory, microSD card support for up to 8GB, Media player, stereo FM radio and FM transmitter, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS and A-GPS, Wi-Fi, a 4.3 hours of talk-time / 320 hours of stand-by time Li-Ion 1200 mAh battery and so on.

The white version of the Nokia N78 is found on Nokia’s official Spanish website, having a retail price of 359 Euros (about $555).

Nokia announced N78 at the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona. Nokia N78 is a multimedia phone that combines music, navigation and photography. It runs on Symbian S60 3rd edition, and features a 16,000,000 colors TFT display with a 240×320 pixels resolution, a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, a microSD memory card slot, music player, FM radio, A-GPS, Nokia Maps, WLAN, high-speed HSPDA 3G connectivity.
