Lenovo P960 Smartphone with Fingerprint Biometrics

Lenovo P960, a new smartphone, is now available in China. The P960 come with fingerprint biometrics, packing a fingerprint scanner on its edge. The Intelligent Touch Control solution is provided by Atrua Technologies, a Californian company.

Lenovo P960 only come with dual-band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 MHz) with GPRS; hence, it’s targeted for the Chinese market only.

Measuring 117 x 58 x 17 millimeters and weighing 108 grams, the P960 smartphone brings the following features: VIP recording that can automatically record any call from any number users designate, a 2.8 inch TFT display with 65K colors, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, Music player, and a 1760 mAh battery that can probably provide some good talk and stand-by times.

For the moment, Lenovo P960’s price is not known, but it’s probably not on the affordable side.

While Lenovo is best known for its laptops and desktop computers, the company (which bought IBM’s PC division back in 2005) is also a major handset manufacturer, but its mobile products are mainly sold across China.
