Could not find the original app.
After bearing iPhone in silent mode for 3-4 months and using head phones to hear the ring. Auto silent app was a savior. Worked like a charm….getting all sounds.

by the way, it says it works on all iphone generations and 2.2, 3.0, 3.1 firmwares.
It worked on my 2.2 3G.

I used “Auto Silent” app from Cydia. It rocks, got all sounds back.
You can bypass silent switch and use the app to mute and umute the phone.
