Unveiled several weeks ago, Palm Treo Pro, the new Windows Mobile-based smartphone, has been released in the United States.

This Treo Pro is available unlocked in Palm’s online store, for $550.

In Europe, Palm Treo Pro is being offered through Vodafone, who has not yet released the smartphone.

This smartphone has a candybar shape, other features include: quad-band GSM device with tri-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, a touchscreen display with 320×320 pixels, a QWERTY thumb-keyboard, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, a Qualcomm MSM7201 400MHz processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a built-in GPS receiver, a 2.0 MPx camera, a standard suite of productivity applications, a microSD card slot and so on.

Leaked informations of the Palm Treo 800w revealed that this smartphone will be available soon. It features a large square display with a 320 x 320 pixels resolution, a 2 Megapixel camera, a full QWERTY keypad, 256 MB internal memory, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, EV-DO Rev, A-GPS. Palm Treo 800w runs Windows Mobile 6.0 (or Windows Mobile 6.1), not Palm OS however.

It will hit the market in April 2008, the price is unknown yet.
