Nokia 6600 Slide Approved by the FCC

Nokia 6600 Slide was recently approved by the FCC, and it might soon be available across the US.

The 6600 Slide works on the 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 GSM frequencies as well as on the 850 / 2100 WCDMA ones.

Measuring 93 x 45 x 14 millimeters (3.66 x 1.77 x 0.55 inches) and weighing 110 grams (3.88 ounces), the mid-end handset brings the following features: a 2.2 inch TFT display with 320 x 240 pixels and 16.7 million colors, a 3.2 Megapixel camera with double LED flash and video recording, Music player, stereo FM radio, accelerometer, Nokia Maps, Opera Mini 4 browser, email, Instant Messaging, Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging, Bluetooth 2.0, Macromedia Flash Lite 3.0 support, USB, 20MB of expandable memory, and a 1000 mAh battery that should last up to 3 hours in talk-time mode and up to 240 hours in stand-by mode.

Nokia XpressMusic 5320 Available in the US Soon

Nokia XpressMusic 5320 was recently approved by the FCC. So this means the new Nokia Xpress Music handset might hit the US soon.

Nokia XpressMusic 5320 was presented back in April. For the moment, Nokia announced the availability of XpressMusic 5320 only for Europe and Latin America.

The new XpressMusic 5320 candybar comes in two versions: an HSDPA 850 / 1900 MHz one and an HSDPA 900 / 2100 MHz one.

Measuring 108 x 46 x 15 millimeters (4.25 x 1.81 x 0.59 inches), the music phone brings the following features: Music player (MP3, M4A, WMA and eAAC+ supported), dedicated XpressMusic keys, stereo FM radio with RDS, a 3.5mm audio jack, a “Say and Play” application, a 2 inch TTF display with 16 million colors and 240 x 320 pixels, a 2 Megapixel camera with flash, a secondary camera for video calls, email and Web capabilities, Bluetooth 2.0, a Symbian S60 UI and 140MB of built-in memory that can be expanded up to 8GB.

Nokia presents an online Flash demonstration of the N96 smartphone on its official website.

Nokia N96 was first presented in February 2008. It seems to be, by far, the best Nseries smartphone ever made.

Nokia E71 smartphone is already on sale, but only in Singapore for the moment. It costs about 720 Singapore dollars (around $530 or 335 Euros).

Nokia E71 was officially presented on the 16th of June. Measuring 114 x 57 x 10 millimeters, the E71 features quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) and dual-band HSDPA connectivity, a 2.36 inch TFT display with 16 million colors and 320 x 240 pixels, Symbian 9.2 S60 3rd Edition, a full QWERTY keypad, a nice 3.15 Megapixel camera with auto focus, video recording, flash and a front-facing camera for video calls, 110MB of built-in memory (expandable with up to another 8GB), Music and Video player, FM radio, GPS and A-GPS, push to talk, push email with one-touch access, HTM browser, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, microUSB 2.0 and a 1500 mAh battery capable of offering up to 10.5 hours of talk-time and up to 410 hours of stand-by time.

Nokia E71 should be available at the beginning of July in other global markets too (Europe and/or North America).

Nokia 7510 Supernova was recently presented by Nokia along with three other Supernova line-up handsets: 7610 Supernova, 7310 Supernova and 7210 Supernova.

Coming in a clamshell form factor, the 7510 Supernova features an internal 2.2 inch TFT display with 16.7 million colors and 320 x 240 pixels, a secondary monochrome display with 128 x 160 pixel and a “hidden-until-lit feature”, quad-band GSM connectivity with EDGE, Symbian S40, a 2 Megapixel camera with LED flash, NIPS (Nokia proprietary processing algorithm) and video recording, a 512MB memory card, Music player, FM radio, A-GPS, Nokia Maps, OSS browser, email, Bluetooth 2.0 and so on.

Nokia N78 hits the US market with a suggested retail price of $560.

This smartphone was announced by Nokia this year and is already available in Europe, India and other global markets.

Nokia N78 US version comes with quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) and dual-band HSDPA connectivity (850 / 1900 MHz).

Nokia 6301 Launched by T-Mobile

Nokia 6301 has been released via T-Mobile USA. It comes in a candybar form factor.

Measuring 107 x 43 x 12.7 mm and weighing 391 g, the new 6301 packs a 2 inch TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels and 16 million colors, tri-band GSM connectivity (850 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) with GPRS, EDGE and UMA, a 2.0 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and video capture, expandable memory (up to 4GB), Music player (MP3, WMA, AAC and eAAC+ supported), FM radio, Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth, T-Mobile myFaves, Instant Messaging, T-Mo’s HotSpot @Home wireless service, Speakerphone, a battery that can offer 3.5 hours of talk-time and 14 days of standby time and so on.

Although T-Mobile says the Nokia 6301 is available both online and in select retail stores across the US, T-Mobile’s website doesn’t feature this new handset and their prices are not known yet.

Nokia 8800 Arte Pink Luxury Phone

A luxury edition of the Nokia 8800 Arte was presented recently. The new handset is dubbed “Nokia 8800 Arte Pink“.

It is created by Peter Aloisson, a Austrian jeweler. The luxurious handset is dressed in 18k white gold, plus more than 680 pink and white diamonds. It costs more than 85,000 Euros – about $131,650.

Specs of the Nokia 8800 Arte Pink is the same as 8800 Arte: a 2 inch scratch-resistant display with 240 x 320 pixels and 16 million colors, a 3.15 Megapixel camera with auto focus and video, 3G connectivity (only UMTS 2100), 1GB of non-expandable memory, Music player, Web and email capabilities, Bluetooth 2.0, microUSB, handsfree, T9 predictive text input, voice memo and so on.
