New Google Android OS Video Demonstration

The Google Android OS is generating more hype the closer we get to its market debut, and it will soon come to challenge Symbian, Windows Mobile, and Apple’s iPhone.

Andy Rubin, Google’s director of mobile platforms, recently made a new video presentation with a handset based on the Android platform.

On the featured demo you will see that, it is a 3G touchscreen handset powered by Qualcomm MSM7200 with a 300Mhz processor. It features Google Maps, Music Player and some sort of YouTube video player, WebKit browser, 3D graphics chips that can run the famous Quake game at 30 Fps, in real-time 3D, Google’s Street View application.

Samsung Android-powered Phone

According to Robert X. Cringely, Samsung will release two Android-powered handsets, one in September, and the other after Christmas. Both of the high end models look like Blackberry Pearl, have built-in WiFi and might actually come with a built-in VoIP client.
